About Kindërling
Our Approach
At Kindërling, respect for every child is at the heart of everything we do. We believe the way children are treated shapes how they see themselves and the world around them, so we create a kind, nurturing environment where children feel listened to, valued and included.
We give children the time and freedom to play, explore and discover at their own pace. Through uninterrupted play and real experiences, children develop the confidence, independence and skills they need to understand the world around them.
Our small-group approach means we can truly get to know each child. Every child has a strong sense of belonging, with the security and support to be themselves, build relationships and thrive.
Our Story
Kindërling was founded by husband-and-wife team Bobby and Olivia Federici, inspired by a desire to create something truly special for young children and their families.
Having spent over 10 years working in and leading nursery settings, Bobby had seen the many things that can make early years provision great — experienced practitioners, thoughtfully planned environments, rich learning experiences and opportunities for children to develop alongside their friends.
He also saw the importance of something that can be harder to achieve in larger settings: a calm, personal environment where children are genuinely known, where adults have the time to build meaningful relationships and where children can simply be themselves.
Kindërling was born from that idea — bringing the experience and opportunities of a high-quality nursery into the warmth, freedom and nurturing environment of a home-based childminder.
The result is a setting that feels personal and homely, but with the ambition, experiences and professional approach you would expect from a much larger early years setting.
The Kindërling team
At Kinderling, children are cared for by a small, experienced team who share a commitment to creating a warm, respectful and engaging environment.
We believe great childcare starts with great relationships. Our team takes the time to know each child as an individual, understand what makes them tick and give them the confidence to explore, play and learn.
With experience across early years education and childcare, we bring together professional knowledge with the warmth and personal attention that makes home-based childcare so special.
At the heart of our approach is a simple belief: children thrive when they feel safe, valued, understood and genuinely cared for.
Our Space
We are based in a beautiful log cabin and garden for your child to explore, create, and play. Our space has three distinct areas, the Art room, Library and Garden which offer your child a wide range of activities and enchanting experiences. It is a place where we hope to kindle their naturally inquisitive nature, where they can socialise and develop consistent friendships in a safe and cosy setting with acceptance, and support.
Art Room
Children are by nature creators and the Art Room serves as a treasure trove to inspire and resource children's innate need to experiment, make and play. We want your child to be inspired and comfortable exploring, experimenting, and making mistakes. Our weekly rhythm may opportunities to try baking, cooking, woodcraft, sewing, weaving, and more.
The art room is set up with an assortment of table top and floor activities, a large rug area and open ended art area. During their time in the Art Room, children can do arts and crafts, develop pre-writing skills, get immersed in imaginative role play, and join in with music and singing.
Library
Our cosy library is a a safe cocoon for children to get lost in stories, rest, relax, and play till their heart's content. It is a quiet space for undisturbed play and is fully stocked with a range of children's literature and open-ended toys.
It is a calm space away from the main room where children have the opportunity to explore books independently, as well as having stories read to them.
Allotment
Down on the allotment your child can discover nature and build an understanding and respect for our natural environment and their place in it. Immersing themselves in our natural world inspires their mind, body and spirit. They will help tend to the plants throughout the seasons and can pick and harvest the food for our meals.
Beyond Kindërling
Our local area offers an abundance of wonderful outdoor adventures for your child. Every day the group will choose an outing to a range of local spaces including ancient woodlands, community orchards, a chalk stream, playing fields, children's parks, an astroturf football pitch, and the village library.
